WHAT IS THE GENIUS AWARD SCHOLARSHIP?
This award is a full-tuition scholarship for the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Art. This scholarship is awarded to four (4) total incoming freshman students each year across our disciplines (Film + Digital Content, Commercial Dance, Contemporary Musical Theatre + Film, and Acting). It is designed to support, celebrate, and promote students who have an exceptionally creative or unique ability. The scholarship is renewable, contingent upon satisfactory academic progress and continued matriculation. The recipient is expected to maintain personal performance consistent with the intent of the award. This award is exclusive to the Los Angeles Campus.
SPECIFICS OF THE PRIZE:
A Grand Prize Winner for each program of the Contest (the “Winner”) will receive a Full-tuition Scholarship to attend Hussian College. No cash or other prize substitution is permitted. The prize is nontransferable. All prize-related expenses are the sole responsibility of the winner. The winner will be notified within 15 days of the contest end - April 30th. Prizes must be claimed within 30 days of the winner being notified or the prize is voiced and given to the runner-up winner.

WHEN WILL THE WINNER BE ANNOUNCED?
The finalists will be contacted via email before May 15th.
The finalists will take part in a virtual interview with a Genius Award Panel. These interviews give us a chance to get to know you better. Other potential topics we may discuss with students are how they will positively represent Hussian College as a Genius Award recipient, where they envision themselves after graduating from Hussian College, their submitted requirements, and what they think is special about Hussian College. The winner will be chosen prior to May 15th.

SlideRoom.com is an online platform used to collect, review, and store applications to Hussian College. It is easy to use and allows applicants to upload creative samples, audition materials, video introductions, letters of recommendation, and other application materials.
There are several deadlines for each period. We recommend submitting your completed application by the Early Application Deadline.
Yes. All applicants must complete an interview with a member of the admissions team or departmental faculty. In-person interviews are preferred, but you may participate by Skype or phone, if necessary. The interview is a shared opportunity to explore your understanding of our programs and academic culture. We also want to get a sense of your commitment to succeed at Hussian College and beyond.
No, you may only apply to one program in your application.
Yes, you may transfer. All requests and evaluation for transfer credits are handled on a case-by-case basis and are most applicable to general education courses. Due to our comprehensive approach to craft and entrepreneurship, we rarely apply transfer credits to core curriculum.
